About Me

Peggy Rubio, LMHC

Peggy Rubio is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Peggy graduated with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. She always had a dream of helping people heal from emotional pain and mental illness.

For this reason, she became trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has many years of experience working with clients who experienced different forms of trauma, including domestic violence, sexual and physical abuse. In addition, Peggy has worked in community mental health agencies treating clients suffering from anxiety, mood disorders, and psychosis, to name a few. She has extensive knowledge and experience with the Child Welfare population, including kids in foster care and those who were adopted out of foster care.  Furthermore, Peggy is a Certified Parenting Coach, guiding parents to build a strong and healthy relationship with their child.

In addition to her clinical experience, Peggy Rubio is an adjunct instructor at a local state college, teaching Introduction to Psychology and Psychology of Human Development. She is not only passionate about working with her clients individually, but she also finds a deep satisfaction in educating the community about mental health and psychology. Her overall goal is to impact the world one person at a time with compassion and dedication to promote overall health and wellness.
